So, I'm a man that loves my spicy foods. I decided that I should make some habanero chili today. I collected up my ingredients and dumped them into the crock pot. Finally it came time for the habanero peppers. Normally, I take my peppers that are dried out and reconstitute them in boiling water. Afterwards, I put it in a small food processor type thing and dump it in.

Today however, I could not locate my little food processor type thing. So, my mom suggests "Oh, take the dry ones and put them in this coffee grinder". I take her suggestion and run them through the grinder and as I pour them in to the crock pot. Very soon after, my nose and throat begins to burn. And not in the good, spicy food way. It was an unwelcome burning.

I proceed to go get a partical respirator to keep the floating pieces of pepper out of my throat and nose, but I thought most had dissipated and I headed upstairs. Just now, I felt a strange sensation in my urethra. I just realized that due to not wearing pants and being in boxers, the little floating bits of pepper in the air traveled through the loose boxers that I was wearing.

Now, my urethra is on fire and I'm trying to explain it to the internets here. So, the moral of the story is:

If anyone is familiar with KFC, they may know of 2 devious dipping sauces, Buffalo and Sweet and Spicy. While these may seem like innocent sauces with which one can enjoy boneless wings, they are in fact the cause of much of my suffering.

After KFC has closed and we are cleaning up, I frequently have to fill up huge metal containers (which have held our sauces all day) with hot water so they can be cleaned more easily in 10 or 15 minutes. This doesn't sound bad, after all it is just filling up some containers right? WRONG. As soon as the water hits the pot a burning sensation fills your nostrils and mouth and causes your eyes to tear and makes you burst into coughing convulsions. I believe it is a 5 gallon container so it takes a while to fill up, and the burning is unbearable and lasts for several minutes after. However, if we dont do that, and just toss it in the sink with the other dishes, the water in the sink is absolutely terrible within a few minutes. Until we develop a new way to clean these ???????, it seems as though we will just have to suffer.

Anyone else have to deal with burning sensations like these?

20 hour chili is where it's at! At about 15 hours, the meat completely absorbs the color of the chili powder and other spices and is infused with flavor.
